What are Key Performance Indicators

Measuring performance allows a company to determine objectively what is working and what is not. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are the set of measurements deemed essential to understanding an organisation's operational health.

By setting KPIs, managers are encouraged to monitor what they are doing and then establish targets to achieve improvement. KPIs can be used to establish base-line performance and to track changes.

KPiMax™ - Key Performance Indicators delivered anywhere

kpimax1.jpgKPiMax™ is a new way to deliver key performance indicators to busy managers both at their desk and on the move. KPiMax™ allows managers to build information dashboards (business intelligence portals) which assemble and display business information from disparate sources in one central location. It allows managers to monitor business activity and results on their laptops, desktops, iPhones and other mobile devices.

KPiMax™ allows you to define targets or value ranges. You can display data with different colors or characteristics when values are outside expected ranges or hit target thresholds. This allows executives to quickly assess the data presented to them and take action as appropriate.

KPiMax™ - Optimized for Apple iPhone

In recent years Apple has reinvented itself as a consumer electronics company but the iPhone is not just a consumer device. There is growing demand for wireless access by business managers but until now the experience of mobile web access has been poor. The web browser on the iPhone is a far cry from the cut-down browsers that are available on other mobile platforms and the small, but high resolution display is the perfect vehicle to deliver KPi data on the move.

KPiMax™ is an enterprise iPhone application that allows you to build information dashboards which assemble and display business information from disparate sources in one central location.

KPiMax allows iPhone users to keep in touch with what is happening in their businesses while they are away from their desks. This ability to quickly connect and analyse live business-critical information allows managers to make more opportune business decisions and keep ahead of their competition.

Designed from the ground up to fit the Apple iPhone development model, it allows executives on the move to keep in touch. KPiMax has several features to help maximise data viewing capabilities on the small but high resolution iPhone display. A special "tap & switch" feature allows you to view off-screen columns with a single finger tap. KPiMax data is fully integrated with the iPhone's phone, e-mail and Google maps applications.

KPiMAX™ - Delivering data from any source

KPiMax™ can display data from databases and business applications including Sage and other major accounting packages. Based on open technology standards, it works with SQL, ODBC and SOAP (web services). Supported databases include Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase & MySQL.

KPiMAX™ - Deploy as a gateway to your business applications

kpimax2.jpgThe KPiMax™ software acts as a gateway to your underlying business systems, publishing the selected KPI data to the target devices be they desktop computers or wireless mobile.

The KPiMax™ gateway software can be deployed without any change to your existing business applications, and can be programmed with the necessary business intelligence to report and summarize the data drawn from the feeder systems.

It can be deployed on either Windows or Macintosh hardware, giving increased flexibility and making it ideal for companies adopting the iPhone as part of their Apple hardware strategy.
